Epilogue: The Teacher’s Conclusion — Fear God and Keep His Commands

Ecclesiastes 12:9-14

12
Chapter 12
9 And in addition, Qohelet was the wise man who taught the people knowledge; he weighed, investigated, and arranged many proverbs. 10 The Preacher sought to find words of favor and to write upright words of truth. 11 The words of the wise are like goads and like guards planted by masters of assemblies; they gave them one shepherd. 12 And of these, my son, be warned: there is no end to making many books, and much study is a weariness of the flesh. 13 End of the matter, everything having been heard: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God will bring every deed into the judgment upon all that is hidden, whether good or evil.
